The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) is the only organization to accredit veterinary hospitals in the United States.  Less than 17% of animal hospitals in the country achieve AAHA accreditation, and those that do must voluntarily undergo regular evaluation to ensure that they continually meet the 900 standards required for accreditation.  Here are just a few of the qualities of a AAHA-accredited hospital:

        •    High quality of care in the areas of anesthesia, contagious diseases, dentistry, pain management, patient care, surgery and                           emergency care.
        •    On-site diagnostic equipment including x-ray and laboratory tests for rapid, accurate diagnoses.
        •    On-site pharmacy to begin treatments immediately
        •    Maintenance of thorough and complete medical records to ensure a complete medical history of your pet
